I'm thinking the S5LE will be very comparable to the Alaskan bush camp knife.

My first "great" knife was also a Randall Model 5, with a nickel silver hilt, black micarta grips, and a lanyard hole in Stainless. I ordered it and was put on the Randall 2 year wait list. About 12 months later I was notified that my knife was ready and I could pick it up. I was pretty down as I did not then have the $200 or so to get her and it was headed for the sale shelf there in the Randall shop where someone else would buy her.
About three weeks later I opened my birthday (17) present from Mom and Dad only to find my knife ..... they had gone down and picked it up for me.... I still keep the knife in my top drawer.
