Not nearly as cool as the Delerium brew pub or Oktoberfest, but pretty good for my garage . . . [img][image]http://i27.tinypic.com/5aa0k.jpg[/img][/image]

Gotta get our column still up and running. The "authorities" frown on that kind of garage recreation and my wife is afraid I'll blow something up.
Keep an eye out for the Good Life Brewing Company, you never know where we'll show up. Until then, my bottle of Black Bush will have to do.

I'm all about free tastings. Just got to get all you dawgs to CO somehow . . .
I'd love to get to Blade or Knob Creek but I'm pretty sure the airlines would frown on me bringing 5 gal kegs as carry on luggage.

My top 5:

Rochefort 10
La Trappe / Koningshoeven Quadrupel
Ommengang Three Philosophers
Westvleteren 12

And just for a little bit of that hometown pride...

Yeungling Traditional Lager

Rochefort and Westvleteren are both Belgian Trappist breweries, and Koninshoeven is a Dutch Trappist brewery. All three are absolute masters of the Belgian style strong ale.

Ommengang is a US-based brewery that does a mighty fine Belgian style as well (seeing a theme here???)

Compared to those other four, Yeungling is absolute crap. However, it's a Pennyslvania tradition, and still reminds me of home, so I have a special place in my heart for it. A cold Lager on a hot summer day is mighty, mighty good.
