This is my first post on the forum. I just picked up a S5 blk on blk new in the box from a friend of mine in Florida. I should have it in my hands sometime next week. I also just sent Patti an email about purchasing a Dumster Mutt.
These will be my first Scrapyard knifes.

Welcome Sportsnut. You will love the S5. They are great knives. The Dumpster Mutts are no longer on sale but you can get one on the secondary market fairly easily but for a higher cost. Blade Forums is the best place to go to look for Scrap Yard knives that are no longer offered. See the sticky link at the top of the threads page for information on how SY knife sales work. Basically, they put a knife up and make it available for a period of time, then they take it down and it is no longer available. So, you have to get them while they are available at the ScrapYard store or go to the secondary market. You can also check E-Bay. Anyway - Welcome and feel free to post any questions you might have. this is a fun place to hang out and there are many here that know knives. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sportsnut- I believe right now you can get the LE edition of the S5 still and it is made of Infi steel. If you can swing the price, I highly recommend you get one...or a few. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Good luck!

If there is a particular knife you like just stick around and a lot of times people will give a heads up when they see something on the secondary market. Also, Andy Wayne has a link on his sig to sign up for the Bussekin exchange on yahoo.
