How about a thick kephart--large and stubby versions. A 6.5x2" blade and a 4.5x2 blade--.25 to keep it nice and solid (maybe 3/16th on the shorter model). Could work with either resipr-C or with micarta under the Swamp Rat line. Nice satin finish SR-77 or INFI steel. Of course would need the full convex grind.
Or how about a nessmuk with mudder grips? Oh wait...dang it! Did the Busse Nessmuk ever get released ?

I would dearly love to see the Yard come out with a set of throwing knives. About a 4-inch blade and 4-inch handle, somewhat arrow-shaped, maybe 1/8" or 3/16" thick. Steel choice doesn't matter, as long as it won't chip if a throw goes astray.
 Thank you kindly.

Forgot all about this thread. Wasn't it the Bushwacker that came out of this contest? If not then who won sounds like a great question.

I know I am late to the discussion and its sounds like the discussion has already been made, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to "vocalize" my dream Scrap Yard knife.
A bayonet. One that would fit onto a standard M-16 service rifle/M-4 carbine. It would need to be thick and designed for thrusting but not sacrifice its ability to be utilized as a utility or fighting knife.
The one I have now holds an edge like a bowling ball floats. I would love to have an affordable, well built replacement, especially in the form of a Bussekin knife.

I'd give it a couple of weeks after the Blade Show is over . . . and Eric sells all of his HRLMs, RMDs and Swamp Wardens . . . and the ganzaa knives get delivered . . . and Jerry starts up his new business plan . . . and Still nothing, is the comp even over or are we to keep making suggestions ?
