I am glad to hear that things are looking better for your daughter, Dan. Hopefully the doctors will get that blood sugar under control and she will be able to have a more normal life. You know she is in our prayers.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

That is indeed some wonderful news Dan! Having met Theresa at Blade 07, I was really impressed with her - she struck me as being sweet, intelligent, and very well mannered. I know that you and Patti are very proud of her (as well as Mary and Mike) Sherrie and I are very happy for all of you - please tell them all we said "hi", and we hope to see them at Blade 2010. And that includes Mrs. B !!! Tom

I'm glad you found a place that was able to help her. Being Type 1 myself I have struggled with the ups and downs and I know how hard it can be. Diabetes is a life changer and Type 1 which you have no way of preventing can be very frustrating. I do not know how old your daughter is but there are many great social-networking sites out there. http://tudiabetes.com/ has been very helpful to me, it has other people just like me sharing experiences and ideas on diabetes.

From my experiences Doctors can be very frustrating and not have all the answers. If you every have any questions I am always willing to talk.

That's great news! A change of docs can do wonders! And also having a positive prognosis can also make things previously unbearable into minor issues. Best of luck!
