Well, here it is! My new Savage 93R17!

[Linked Image from i58.photobucket.com]

I've only put 100 rounds through it. It's the first gun I've shot using a scope, and I love it! Here's another picture of it with my CGDM and my cheap .380 ACP.

If only ammo were more plentiful!

Sweet rifle.

What kind of groups are you getting with it?

Well, I still have to adjust the scope a bit. As I said, this is the first rifle I've used with a scope, so the groups are rather large. I have to improve my technique, too. I really want to get a bipod. I think that will help.

I love this rifle, but I think I'd like a new stock. I might just modify this one, though. I hope to go to the range this week to do a little shooting before I head back out to college!

As a side note, I am fairly new to owning guns (although my dad has a fair share), but this gun hobby seems it could be as addicting as all of our knife sicknesses! Isn't it great!

At least as addicting..But anything can be. A good product, few dollars, and a little OCD,,you got an addiction..

Again,,nice rifle..

My brother has the model you do... i have the walnut stock model, i have handled the cz model and its beautiful i just cant justify the extra money i think it was close to 600 bucks... i havnt seen many other models offered in the 17hmr...

my only complaint about it , was at first it was hard to pick up ammo and it was spendy compared to my old 22lr small critter gun , but i think the proformace won me over...

the synth stock is nice and light if you gotta pack it around all day i probably would of opted for this model.... but the walnut stock is heavy enough and balanced enough to work well as a stable platform...

ill try to get some picks of mine once i haul it out and get a new finish on it....

Nice rig! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I'm a big fan of the .17hmr cartridge. A great plinker round that brings a good serving of accuracy and consistency to the table. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
