I was just reading the forum rules in an attempt to figure out whether or not a particular topic might be within both the spirit and letter of that law.

My topic would be sharpening knives. I do not see that the topic itself would cause a problem with a rule. My concern is that in bringing up this topic names and links to other manufacturers might start creeping into the subject. I thought I would make this post first and seek the advice of the wiser sages before pursuing the topic.

I ran out of searches trying to find the topic. Went back 2 years with no results. I will try searching on Horndog and 3 years back later.

I was sort of interested in some of the newer techniques and devices for sharpening. It will be interesting to see what has been discussed in the past. I will keep at it until I find something now that I know it is out there.

I made more searches, placing sharpening as the search, either in topic or body of post. Going back 3 years I get no results. Placing Horndog in the mix did not get any results either. Maybe I should just search on Horndog but I am thinking it might be difficult to sort through all his posts.

Any further pointers on finding the posts on this topic?
