So I bought 3 pairs of Tru-Spec pants form Brigade Quarter Masters the other day.

My Mashed Cats S5LE sheath fits perfectly in the magazine pocket, inside the main leg cargo pocket of my pants. The top of the sheath is just below flush with the top of the pocket, which will allow the handle of the knife to protrude from the low corner of the cargo pocket perfectly. I may not even need my Tek-Lock, what a deal.

I'm sure Dan engineered it that way right?

Great pants!
They are very tough and my pants get abused like most people can't imagine. Dog claws pushing, shoving and scratching all day will rip many fabrics into pieces. Resting a scythe blade on the legs while peening the edge, working on a tractor, landscaping, construction.....

I like the pocket lay out on these pants better than any pants I have ever had. There are folding knife pockets on either side of the hip area, out of the way, but easily reached. The pockets designed to hold magazines also work perfectly for common items like cell phones and wallets. Less common items like knife sheaths, tracking articles, bait bag, dog play toys.... also fit well. The pockets inside of pockets are genius.

I hope you picked up a 5.11 nylon belt to go with the pants. The plastic buckle is big and very functional but it does not set off alarms at airports requiring that one remove it to get through customs either. The 1.5 inch width is perfect for those traditionalists who insist on carrying their knife etc. on their belt. Yet it is very comfortable to wear, just the right combination of stiffness and flexibility.

The whole ensemble provides one with the maximum number of locals to access, dare I say show off, your Scrap Yard knife.

Dressing to play hard,

Mick

I'll need to pick up that belt.
I beat my gear up as well. Can't help it.
I'm glad you posted this because it had been on my list
but I wanted someone else's feedback. Thanks again.
