Hi guys, just wanted to know what was happening with my Scrapper pics, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
That Scrapper 5 is actually the first Scrapyard knife i aquired, and i must say i'm quite pleased with how it looks,feels, and handles.
I haven't tested that edge yet though, but it will come.
A few questions though; besides the heat treating as done by Scrapyard, is there actually a difference between 52100 and SR101 ?
And how about it's sensitivity towards corrosion ?
As besides striving for good sharpness that was the other reason to polish that Scrapper 5 edge, to keep rust at bay.
One other thing; although i'm an American citizen just as most of you here i live and work in Europe in a small country called the Netherlands.
I'm also the owner of the only knife and flashlight related forum there is in that country, and we also have an international part where only English is used.
So when you're in the neighbourhood, don't hesitate to drop by; we already got a Busse subforum and i'm thinking of creating one for Swamp Rat and ScrapYard as well.
Currently there is no ScrapYard dealer in the Netherlands, but there sure is interest in the knives, so if you have something to trade or sell, now you know where you need to be,
