If I left my SS5LE in a hot car, will the handle loosen or come unglued?

The SS5LE is my first blade with Res-C handle and it is great! Feels very good in hand and just may be my favorite 5" blade.

another interesting fact, leaving a scrapyard blade in your vehicle will improve power and gas mileage in your vehicle. :]

Left my Muk on a hot stove way to close to the heat for way to long. It did manage to melt the handle a bit. I'm sure pretty the only way res c will adjust is if you hit cooking temperatures.

You are fine leaving the knife in a car during the summer time. Now if you leave the knife in a heated oven then we might have a problem....not with the handle but with the heat treat <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />.

JYD #84 This is my rifle, and that is my SHTF Busse knife.

I wonder if anybody at Scrapyard HQ could tell us what the melting point of Resiprene C is? Just for curiosity sake. I know some of the users here have modified their handle by heating it with a typical butane lighter. I very much doubt that you'll melt it with hot-car temperatures, unless you happen to live in the Gobi desert and cover your car with black plastic.

I kinda answered my own question as yesterday it was 97 degrees where I live and I left my blade inside my car. The handle wasn't even warm to the touch. Good stuff!
