I passed, and am glad I did - the SJTAC fits my needs a lot better. Although I do love that it was offered with no choil.

Thanks for the "heads up" Bill - I have one ordered. It's a no choil, no swedge, black on black model.

I would rather the SJTAC as well but don't have one, so I figured I would order one of these

When I decided to pass on the TB, I had no idea I would end up scoring a SJTAC, but they had TONS of them, in a variety of color combos, at Blade West. The toughest part was picking WHICH SJTAC to get....

I really wish I had gone up, only a 10hour drive for me.... so what was the list price on them?

I passed on ordering any TBs. I suspect that they'll be at Knob Creek, where I'll be able to hold them and determine if I really want one. However, I've begun to get more selective about my purchases -- I had been buying everything that was released, even when I thought I had better already. I bought additional S5LEs instead of a couple Tank Busters, which I still think was the right decision for me.

I'd have jumped on one myself if I didn't already own a straight-handled Satin Jack. I'll tell you, sb, if the Busse crew shows up at Blade West next year with the variety of knives they brought to this year's show, you'd be well advised to make the 10-hour drive.
part of the reason I didn't plan on going is the crew doesn't usually go, had I known in advance I would have made plans to. I will be keeping an eye out next year to try and make it. I really wish I could make blade in Atlanta but the cost of the airfare would kill any knife buying I plan on doing.

I passed. I have two SARsquatches and two ASH-1s, so I have that size Busse covered. Besides, I recently got a little tank of a knife called the RC-5. It's .25" thick saber ground 1095, a tough little beast.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

What is blade in Atlanta? I am just north of Atlanta and would love to know of a good knife show.

Thanks,
Mick
