Nice collection, Horn Dog. I've thought about getting one of those SOG TL's to rehandle so I could have a decent every day stainless full tang knife. Unfortunately (at least I think), SOG put darned saw teeth on the back of the AUS8 version. I don't feel like dishing out the money for the Duratech version either. Oh well.
Oh, coyotebc, sounds like bad news for your Bravo!

I actually have an early 440C version, too, without the sawback.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I own the Bravo-1 its an excellent knife and very capable for it's size. Mine's a mess, daughter soaked it for a couple of hours in the sink (she thought it was stainless). Now it is pitted, I will be sending to Mike for a spa treatment Females are always doing that. Even if they're stainless, who wants to grope around in a sink full of dishwater with a razor sharp blade at the bottom? I think I have finally trained my girls to leave the sharp knives up on the counter and I hand wash them. They are spoiled. When they visit relatives or friends they can never find a sharp knife in the house to cut anything. No problem here. I got one of the CPM154 Bravos, too. Doesn't rust, but it is hard to sharpen. I think I like A2 better for the money.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

One thing about SOG's saws. They work. I have the SEAL Revolver and the saw blade is great.

Hey Horn Dog, what type of steel does the SOG team leader have? The first one was 440C, then 20cv and AUS-8. I hate the green pine cone handles.

Those are some awesome knives. The S5 is of course the best looking blade of the bunch, love the sheath too.

I think I like A2 better for the money. I like carbon steel and I also like a natural patina on them, the bravo was the only carbon blade I had that was nice and shiny. My daughters are 20 and 19, the 19 year old was going to hand wash my hunting knives for me (I got back the day before) she got part way through and was called away and forgot about the knives. The others were washed and dried, the bravo was not. Of course the other knives where the stainless ones. I might try flitz on it before I send it to Mike

It seems like 5" is the best length in many circumstances.
It looks the best when it is carbon steel with patina on <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have to admit, as much as I like my "big" knives, a smaller 5 inch blade is what I usually throw into my backpack whenever I hike or mountain bike. They're just the right size to be able to perform just about any cutting task that may come up.
