Dan:
Can you start dropping us some hints regarding what we can expect from the next blade to be offered? A general spec or two...material...dimension(s)...style...grips etc?

Right on.... Lets make some guesses. 26 inche blade, 10 inche res-c handle, and it looks like a new age katana!
Anybody else......?
Grail Knife: Busse SFNO or a scrap yard sword. Hint hint Big Dawg.....

Knowing my luck, it will be the design contest knives and the Regulator Bowie all at the same time!

Nah- already have two Regs and they are just fine IMO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. We "NEED " something" else <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />. A new release say every month - or every month and a half <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />? Then have an " auto buy" for us folks that are gone and they can just whack the ole cc <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. How about it Dan-what say you ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

While I never actually used it, the Regulator quillon seemed fine to me. Its only purpose is to keep the fingers off the blade in a thrust, and it can do that. I have other knives with "flexible" guards, like the Cold Steel UWK and Condor Jungle bowies.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I agree with both of you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. At first I worried about it ( guard/quillion)- now that I have used- no problem at all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> . As for chopping..............IMO- it chops just fine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. A bunch of SR101 at a great price for sure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

I won't give my opinion of the guard, as to do so would constitute a review <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
