hehe better watch it HD ... they grow on ya.... i have to retrain mine to actualy bark at the mail man now... they keep giving them treats. i would be lost with out my fur balls. i have slowly been teaching myself how to deal with em and train em. oddly the dog whisper stuff works out pretty well. hehe and yes now you can say release the hounds! haha cute little fella , would be great in the woods with ya for sure... i would try to track down the breed and also what behaviors she displays naturaly... and play to her strenghts... the one really cool thing is that dogs are an instant marker for human feeling... if your nervous they will be... just be calm and assertive and normaly they act pretty good.... be nervious and they will kinda freak out too...

hope ya have fun man....

My girls are both crazy about animals. If they had their way, we'd live in a zoo. Bonnie just got home from her night class. She says the pup is part Jack Russel terrier and part Italian greyhound. All I know is, she has a great disposition and can run abut 40 mph! Good little puppy.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Hey Vic, you certainly have a nice Pup there. Part Jack Russel and part Italian Grey Hound sounds an interesting combination...no wonder the Rabbit is a bit worried...speed and a terrier/hunter instinct...even the squirrels will need to be on watch...looking forward to hearing about some of your joint walks/adventures

Took the puppy, named Akita (which is a large Japanese Husky type dog) for a walk to check my neighbor's property. Sadly for me, the leggy widow next door fell in love with a cowboy and moved all her animals out to his ranch near Statesboro. I got the Statesboro Blues now. Who am supposed to drink beer with and build fires for now? But I'm happy for her. She had some intruders on her property lately. Just local kids. So I've been checking it for her.

Sad to see the goat and donkey pen empty. The pigpen, too.

I was going to cross the creek with Akita to the back of my property, but a bullfrog scared the pup, and she would not enter the bush. Yes, we have a ways to go in her training. Sad to see the place deserted.

So back to the house we go. She hasn't figured out that she is the "Big Dog" of the property yet. I'll work with her on it.

This puppy is just starting to venture outdoors. She has been kept in town in a small apartment.....well actually a hut in the hood in somebody's backyard where my daughter has been living. So she is still a little wary of all these new things. But today while I was out back doing a couple of sharpening jobs, she started exploring her new kingdom. She saw a squirrel in a pine tree eating pine cones. I thought she alerted on the squirrel.

But is was the pine cone she wanted.

She loves to gnaw on those things.

I just noticed your location, Gafenwoehr. While Germany is nice, Grafenworhr was not. At least when I was there for armor training it was always cold and raining. Good training, eh?
