No way. 1/8th inch aint no Scrap Yard blade.
The Bird Dog LE, the best slicer Scrap Yard has ever produced, was 1/8 of an inch thick. And it's a lot longer than a necker. 1/8 is where it's at! Rat Cutlery has the same warranty as Scrap Yard, and the RC-3 is 1/8 of an inch thick too. Make a knife that actually cuts, and I'll be all over it.

But...the Bird dog has a big comfortable handle, and the RC3 does too. I am afraid that if a skeleton handle is too skinny, it would be like gripping the business end of a butter knife. The Izula is thicker than 1/8, and is a great compromise between toughness and slice ability. Cuts like a demon. Still, it is much, much more comfortable with a paracord wrap. I'll just come out and say it...I want a SY "necker" that is very, very similar to an Izula in Bussekin 154CM. That would be the end all hard use EDC work knife for me.

i guess i've had enough infi and sr77 and whatever other overbuilt knives to have had my fill of "hard use." get a wonderbar or a widgy if you want something small you can pry with. maybe one of those fancy tactical pens or a kubaton for pounding.

I guess I dont really pry with any knife, sans my SOD and Dogfather, to get them out of knots and the like.
Hey, I am just saying what I would like, which is not necessarily what the Yard would like.
Hopefully, there is a lot of good input here that a proper knife designer can put to good use!...and release!

I've been hoping for a Skelly Scrapper for some time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
154cm, 3 inch blade, 3/16 thick works for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
I think an MPLE style with a Skelly handle would be good. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I could handle that... an EDC that could pull its weight... Scrap Yard Style... Doc

1/8" skelescrapper would be perfect for a small necker knife.

A SY Necker would be absolute FRRRRRANTASTIC!!!!!
Oh, and I'd get one, even in my state of depleted funds. I'm sure there's some way to generate the funds....hehe..

this will probably be an un-popular answer but I much prefer a folder over a skele knife. For safety reasons mainly
