$347 for the combat grade, but no Bama Clay option. So good news and bad news. Yep. A decent price. Also the CG is 0.1875 whereas the LE is 0.22. Makes the CG even better to me. G10 upgrade price is ridiculous though. Yeah, the CG is the way to go. With DFLE prices on the secondary around $300+-, a 10 inch ThINFI blade with micarta at $347 looks pretty good.

As Busses go, the price is reasonable. I have owned both the FBM and FFBM. While they are impressive choppers, I found them to be a bit heavy for all around use. This new Bushwacker will be the best Mistress yet, IMO. Light and fast works for me.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It looks like J_R was right about the CG not being saber ground; it's convex. The price is below what I expected, but I'm not sure whether I'll order any -- if they came in bama clay and/or desert sand it would be a no-brainer, but they don't. Also, October was pretty rough on the old charge card, what with Knob Creek and buying computer accessories (two hard drives totaling 3 TB plus a two-slot eSata dock).
I don't expect it to be a great chopper, but for anyone who has wanted a big, intimidating, straight-handled, fighter-class blade in INFI -- this is it. I may still place an order for a couple, but I really shouldn't.

I've already sent an email to Garth to ask how much it would cost me to get the spa treatment applied before the knife even ships out to me, and get the right color put on it. We'll see what he says.

I want one of these, but I'm not a fan of any of the available colors.

As a side note, when I saw the original pics of the CG's, I did think at first that they were convex ground, then I said "nah - couldn't be" and just assumed they were saber with a transition line that wasn't terribly visible with the coating. I'm glad I turned out to be wrong - I love me a convex ground knife.

The thinner stock and and convex grind will make this a real user for me. I may give it the "treatment" I gave my NMSFNO.

You mean to tell me that your $15.00 Legitimus Collins won't get the job done? Sure it will, Bruce. But I collect Busses, too. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/machetes/Collins012.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/M9NO004.jpg)

I followed your lead H/D - ordered a Tanker Grey/Black handled one!

But a 3/16" thick convex ground straight handled Bushwacker was just too much temptation. I am so glad Jerry did a CG on this one. I really liked that SAR8, but yikes!$$$
