I did not have very high hopes for this puppy being manageable but I was pleasantly surprised at how it handles from a recoil standpoint. I did not think it would end up being as fun and accurate as it turned out to be.

The wood came unfinished. I did 2 coats of Tung oil and then finished it up with Ren Wax. It's an AK so I was not too worried about perfection, but I think it came out ok.

This should make a nice tent gun when I am up in the hills.

that's sweet.....I've thought about picking one of those up, but something else always has come up on the wish list first. That's a Century, right?

Thanks. Yeah Century imports them from a Romanian manufacturer. I like it. With a 30 round made and all that weight up front the recoil is quite minimal. I did not try a drum yet, but I assume it will be a bit obnoxious. It may end up replacing the AMD 65 on Jeep runs. No SBR paperwork to deal with etc...

cool..my AMD-65 is a Century as is my WASR-10. I've read some bashing on some of the forums about Century....but both of mine have been flawless

Century did do some questionable dremel work on the WASR AK's to open up the magwells. I remember seeing these that folks brought to training classes. Century got some flak for some work they did on FAL's as well. Although I had a CAI FAL (inch gun) that was nice after an FSE trigger group was installed. Fortunately the Romanians did a pretty solid job on this one and the magwells were all done in Romania. I don't see any issues with this guy at all. I like my AMD although I have been thinking about un-SBR'ing it so to speak.

Very Cool. I have been meaning to pick up an AK47 for a long time, just need to do the research and get one.

very nice jeeps. wonder how much muzzle flash you'd get at night.

Very nice! I've been wanting one for a long time. They cost so much now though! I wish I got an AMD-65 parts kit to build into a pistol while they were cheap and easy to find.

I have not test fired it at night yet, but when I do I will note the flash. If it's like other slant breaks on AK's I have it will be a bit of a flame thrower. I may end up putting a birdcage on it since they tend to deal with flash pretty well even though it's not an AK purist thing. I tend to go with what works though in general.

The AMD is a great platform, I pulled the front grip off of mine and put a glas block rail on it. It's a fun rifle.

They are fn and are surprisingly accurate. You would be surprised at how much the sling method adds stability too.

Nice!!!

Thread is killing me though... I've been drooling over guns for the past week or so. Seems that I want something just like one of these. Medium sized high capacity or a subcompact seems to be my targets. I thought I cured my shorty lust last year by buying a a FN 57 but something about the forend and magazine just keep me lusting. I would love to have a SBR but AK and/or AR pistols are what I would have to settle for.

Good news is prices seems to be getting lower at some places.
