I normally don't like serrations but that is one fine looking knife!

I am not a fan of serrations except in some specialty niches, however I always thought that for most applications the serrations are on the wrong part of the blade (for partially serrated knives) I always wanted to try a blade that hade the serrations near the tip and the plain edge at the back of the blade

Great score on a rare piece!
Coyotebc, the SAK OHT has the serrations as you describe. Works great!

Every so often I find myself being thankful for having a serrations on my pocket knife; for instance when having to cut rope. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Some people do like serrations and find them useful, and I wouldn't argue against your choice. I've tried them and am not a fan

There are several Busse blades that have blade tip serrations.
