Ouch, that sounds painfull. Im glad your doing ok, from the sounds of it could have been alot worse. Good thing the weeding band took alot of the impact.
Touch wood the worse cut I did to myself was I dropped a freshly sharpened gerber gator lock blade onto the top of my bare foot. I was standing at the time and the knife fell about 3 feet before it landed point first into my foot. The worse part was that my wife and both daughters were there when it happened

everytime i wash the dishes barefoot I always worry about dropping a knife down into my foot.
