I found a Scrapper 6 and Scrapper 6 LE on the secondary market. Both are great but the heft of the DF is security and what a great feeling!

Who picked the S6 and the SS4? I would love to hear your reasons?

I voted Scrapper 6. And my second choice would have been the SS4 with the DF running third and the dumpster mutt comming in 4th.
I tend to look at my knives as bushcraft/wilderness blades.
The scrapper 6 is my favorite all around multipurpose do everything knife. There isn't much I cannot do with it. It doesn't excell at any one thing but it does most everything pretty decently. It's currently my go to blade and sits in a Spec-Ops survival sheath. The Scrapper 7 may replace the scrapper 6 when it comes out.
The SS4 is a very practical blade size. I find that I use it for a lot of everyday task. It's an easy blade to manipulate and it earns a lot of use from me. Infi, in my opinion is perfect for knives like these. However, since it smaller it's uses get more specific.
The Dogfather is a beast of a blade. It specalizes in chopping. And while there's nothing wrong with a pure chopper it takes a hit in other areas because of its size and heft. This blade is best paired with the SS4 or similar blade.
The dumpster mutt is something that will likely sit in my sock drawer. I'm sure that it's a good knife. However, it really doesn't do it for me in the way that the Scrapper 6 or SS4 do. I really ordered one to complete my collection.

I chose the Dog Father because it IS the biggest. It is like the Busse Battle Mistress of Scrap Yard Knives, only I like it better. Can't wait for the DFLE. I am excited about the DM. What I would like is a SS4. Those just look perfect for EDC.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I chose the DF because I felt it was the most unique offering to date. My mindset was "If Scrapyard had only produced one blade, which blade would have best exemplified Scrapyard as the brand of a leading knife company".
The SS4 is neat but a number of 4" EDC knives have already been done in INFI.
I also agree that the Scrapper 6 is the best all arounder. I love the blade shape, thickness, balance, and Res-C handles. Yet there are other good knives with similar blade shapes and variations of rubber handles.
For me that leaves the Dogfather as the defining blade. The perfect big knife steel (SR-77), combined with a great blade shape, the perfect chopper handle, all at an incredible price point when combined says to me "the DF is the one".

I went for the S6 as it is the best all-rounder.. The DF is so big you may decide to leave it at camp when you go look at the view from the nearby hill- then need it desperately, the S6 is small and light enough to edc but big and tough enough to do almost anything.
The ultimate has to be able to do everything pretty well and the S6 beats the DF for 'versatile' hands down.

some good answers up there, hehe Mutt got 4 votes and it hasn't even shipped yet!
For me it is Dog Father.
Because I have used it the most, chopped/batoned all kinds of wood, just abused it from day one. I have bonded with it. I know what it can do. And when i hold it, feel its reassuring heft, see all the character marks i've put on the coating, and its gleaming edge telling me it's ready for much more!
..Dog Father is the Ultimate ScrapYard knife to me!

I only have one Scrap Yard (used to have a Scrapper 4) but I'd have to say the DF has to be at the top. I'll let you know after I score a Mutt but am sure the DF will still be top dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
