Those look like game eggs to me.......am I right? What kind of chickens are you raising? I only ask because I grew up working on a game fowl farm.

The brown eggs are from my Rhode Island Reds and the greenish/blueish eggs are from my Americanas. I also have a Black Star that lays smaller brown eggs. The eggs are sooooo good.

Funny story...

People at my office figured out how dang good free range eggs are and beg/bribe me for eggs. They do the same with venison, too! I'm sitting here saying "Ok... These idiots are willing to pay me with rum and cash for stuff I do for fun? YES!"

If I wanted to I could probably sell those eggs for $5 a dozen to the people at work. I have 9 birds and get about 5-7 eggs a day.

Most of the time I'm nice and give someone a half dozen once a week.

Dad always kept about 50 or so pullets/hens so we had ample supply of eggs! Mom used to sell them for $1/doz. just to get rid of some!

Fresh game eggs are the best! Only thing I would have done different is cooked them OVER EAZY! The more runny the better!

Hum, it may be time for some real breakfast (ice cream in the middle of the night is not longer cutting it.) I think your warranty is ok as long as you made sure to cut a port product at near the same time.

On a related note...

I came home tonight and for the second time in 2 weeks my rooster has beat up one of my really GOOD laying Rhonde Island Reds. Both times now he's ripped skin/off of her and its gonna end. I separated him from the hens tonight and looks like I'll have some fresh chick dinner soon!!!

Doesn't he look tasty?

I'm too new to the Yard so I only have my S5. The head lopping will be done with my BK-9 because I cant afford secondary market price on a DF or SOD.
