Hey everyone, Im a noob, I dont have a Scrapyard knife yet but im waiting , waiting, waiting lol. You all seem really cool and I wanted to drop a line , and get info . The only real knife I currently own is a Busse Tank Buster , and I was wondering what I should use to sharpen it? I have a stone and it seemed to work ok, but i want a little bit more of an edge on it, it is pretty dull from splitting wood.I dont expect it to get to razor sharp but if there is a way to do it or a different method , Ill try it. Sorry for the bad punctuation lol

Welcome aboard jayme73. There are plenty of helpful folks in here as well as many previous posts about the sharpening / honing of the various Bussekin steels. A quick search on this forum and you will find all you need to know.
There are also several members here that could sharpen your blade for you.
I personally rework all of my edges with a $30.00 Harbor Freight belt sander with a few various grit belts and polish them off with a leather strop.
Hair popping every time.
Anyway, glad to have ya here.

Welcome to the Yard, Jayme!

A sharpening stone is quite capable of getting your knife razor sharp. It does take some practice to keep the edge angle consistent and it helps to have a two grit medium/fine stone. You may need to thin the edge some. I suggest using the search function and looking through some of the older posts as this has been discussed...a lot.
