nice, same here. i used to have that problem but then i realized i am spending hundreds on a great new knife while i take out use and beat the crap out of the much cheaper ones. i realized that didnt make any sense so now i just use them all in rotations that way i dont feel bad about having so many, they all get used right?

By the way, are you done with my copy of The Physics of Foams? Did it help with beer drinking like you thought it would? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

It's usually the opposite - beer drinking helps me understand the physics of foams. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

hahaa. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

both look great, but nothing beats a nice satin to me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Nice scores, that is one of my favorite busse designs (without having tested it at this point). I would love to put the micarta scales on the satin model on the cg blade grind and satin finish.

Trade you a Killa Zilla for both of them. Heck, I'll even paint it with Rustoleum for that Bama Clay look.

I can't get rid of the one I have already - what am I gonna do with another?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

It's funny, I'm generally not a big fan of the six inch length on a knife - it's sort on in a no man's land that's too short to chop but too long to do fine tasks. But on the SJTAC, it just works. That's a very handy piece of INFI, right there.

So no, I won't trade my very useful SJTACs for the very NOT practical killa zilla. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I handled some SJTACs at Blade. I was very impressed with the feel and balance of them. I am wishing I had passed on the KZ and got one of them instead. I had a BATAC, but the balance wasn't right to me. The longer blade made all the difference.

That's plumb beautiful!! MM, all you probably need is a good macro lens. I'm assuming you took these with a standard wide-angle. I'm shopping for a decent macro.

The macro lens might be a problem - all I own is a point and shoot, with no interchangeable lens. I need to upgrade to a DSLR soon, though. Me too. But if you REALLY want to get a close pic with one, you can take a pic through a magnifying glass or microscope. Here's an example I took:

This is the whiskers of the Rat symbol on my OD RMD through a microscope.
