The day is here, I have a freshly signed DD 214 in hand and am flying home for good on Sun. For those of you that dont speak army a DD214 is the Certificate of Release from the Active Army. My wife is extatic that we'll finally be together for good as am I. Its been a good five+ years but its time for the next thing in my life.
Starting early Jan Ill be attending Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston Idaho seeking a degree in nursing. Im looking forward to the challange as well as the change in pace. The new GI Bill is footing the cost as well.
I think tonight me and some of my friends are gonna go out and chow down on some tex-mex and drink a bunch of Dos Equies (sp?).
Its been an honor to serve.

Thanks and congratulations. Glad you're getting stateside and out to the Pacific Northwest. Lewiston is a great town, I have family there. And it's only 8hrs to Blade West!

make sure jaq makes you multiple official copies. you'll need that going forward for benefits, jobs apps with the govt, va home loans etc.
Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store, not a Government Agency.
