When it takes so long it's got to be INFI, otherwise I don't know...

It is the differential and sub-zero tempering that is taking so long.
I hope.

Man, every time I get on and this thread is yellow instead of white my hearts skips a few beats!
Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

I hope. I am hoping for SR-77 myself (SR-77 has always seemed to me the essential "yard" steel). All of my favorite SYKCO blades before the Reg (namely the Dogfather LE, Yardhook, Dumpstermutt (LE&CG), and Yardkeeper (LE&CG)) have all been made of SR-77... Add that to the fact that some of my favorite non-Bussekin blades are also made of S7, and i have a strong preference in that direction. Besides, i just wanted to be the first to represent the SR-77 contingent - it was just a matter of time since INFI and "...a differential and sub-zero treated..." steel have already been tossed into the wishing well. Although i think most would agree they won't be disappointed so long as it doesn't turn out to be made of marsmallow nougat...
We need a 5/16" (or thicker) SR-77 BOWIE!!! (Written back in early '07 -- Regulator Premonition?)

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.
