Welcome to the Yard. I've seen partial removal on a folder. I cannot rememberhow it was done. But, when done right, it looks SHARP!!

Welcome to the yard. Just a thought, but I wonder if blasting with a relatively gentle media (baking soda, maybe?) and a fine tip would do it?

Welcome to the Yard, you could possibly have it convexed, that would probably remove some of the coating near the edge.
Not sure if it would be easy to do uniformly.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. Well, tape and chemical stripper worked fine, but after I polished the exposed metal, I ended up not caring for the way it looked so I stripped the whole blade and am currently polishing it all.

Yeah, I know. I don't want to post till I'm done. Finishing by hand takes awhile and I've actually been forced to work real hours this week
