I also waited before ordering; debating over whether to go Waki or with Bushwackers, or to skip them both. I decided to skip the Waki and order three Bushwackers on 11/7/09 (one desert sage with tan Micarta, and two tanker grays with black Micarta). I don't know if that'll put me in the first batch to ship or not. I don't see a charge for them yet, but Discover tends to lag in posting long enough that I sometimes receive items before I see the charge for them.

I actually held out mainly because I was hoping I could figure out a way to get a Bama Clay coating on mine. Sadly, every attempt I made was promptly shot down. I ended up with a muddy blade, because mud and clay are both dirt, right?

Muddy isn't bad; it's not my favorite since newer colors came out, but it's classic. Several of my earliest Busse and Swamp Rat purchases were muddy with tan handles.

That's absolutely true, and personal tastes change over time. I really disliked the sage color initially, but it's grown on me. If I can't get bama clay, it's now my default coating to pair with tan Micarta.

My Waki is sage/tan, and I think it's great! Sage works well with black handles too!

I ordered a jungle green one with black G-10. I just got my order in about 2 weeks ago...would be pretty awesome if I got mine before Christmas. Or even shortly afterward. If not, I'll have to use the Waki. Either way...the old Christmas Tree doesn't stand a chance.
