I havn't ordered mine yet, but will soon.
I'm broke from Christmas, but I think it will be up for a while, so I will order after Christmas. I'll use my tax money to get one or two.

The Bushwacker joins my other favorite 9" - 10" choppers from Wauseon. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Bushwacker020.jpg) Which one will come out on top? The 17 oz DFLE, 22 oz M9LE, or 23 oz BWM? ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Busse/Bushwacker010-1.jpg)

Excellent score.I can't wait to see another chop off but you have to include the RTAK II 1095. Just for a control in the experiment. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

This is going to be more than just a chop-off. I already know that all these knives are good choppers. I'm going into the thick bushy areas of my property to try all these out as machetes. None of them will out slash a large machete, of course, but all are light enough to be used as short machetes. The question will be which knife is the best all-around bush knife. So I will be comparing them in the following categories:
 1. Balance and feel.
 2. Handle comfort.
 3. Chopping performance.
 4. Batoning to split wood.
 5. Brush slashing, including thick woody stuff, fibrous palmettos, vines, and grasses.

I will not do a test of edge holding, but if I notice any edge damage on any of them, I will note it. I will not be doing any toughness tests. I think we can assume that the INFI and SR77 steels are less likely to break than 1095, 0170-6, 5160, or SR101. All the other knives have proven to be tough enough for any normal use. To keep things fair, I will give the Bushwacker a comparable edge to the others.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yes, the Junglas and Bushwacker knives are very close in specs, but I really don't expect a big difference in performance between the Junglas and the RTAK II. I think the new handle might be more comfortable. I will compare it to the Bushwacker when it comes out. I am convexing the Bushwacker now, since my other bush blades have been reprofiled. The Browning Crowell/Barker Competition knife is another 10" blade I might include. I may do a separate comparison of the 9" M9, M9LE, BK-9, and RD9.
