Funny about that link, I didn't know that Grendel was run by the same guy that runs Kel Tec now, but it makes perfect sense. Put a six inch barrel on that, and then I think you'd really start to see some speed over the good ol' .22lr. Dirty, wet, and unprotected. \m/

tagati Scrapper Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 855 Mill Valley, CA	Looks vaguely like a skinny version of the FN 5.7 handgun. The little Keltecs I have had are great value but have that really long trigger pull. I wonder if they will make the trigger snappier on this model because it has a manual safety?

When it worked, it was a hoot, with a huge ball of fire lighting up the night from the muzzle flash. But the weapon was unreliable. The main problem was finding good magaznes. Even at 1200 ft/sec, it is still a deadly round. Maybe that plastic one will work better. Back then, the 6" barrel AMT Automag was rated at around 1600 ft/sec muzzle velocity. That will hurt you bad. I really like them with Eley subsonics...no sound at all...very accurate out to sensible distances...say 15 yards...good triggers...puts Bunnies in the pot when living off the land...and as a "pro-active" weapon...silent and safe and effective...I am always happy if I can get one to use...helped me an awful lot... I like the idea of the one above if it can be moderated and make no sonic "crack"...but long trigger pulls are not my personal choice...a 30 rnd mag though would make it pretty good...no worries about needing a spare... The guy who does them is right across the river from me. I have not gotten around to applying for the license yet. He prefers Rugers for most of his 22 projects. If a 22 WMR could be moderated to have no sonic crack, it wouldn't be a 22 WMR anymore. Might as well shoot 22LR with subsonics. Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
