I have been looking around as well. These are hard to find around here as well. Not sure if it is that popular or a production issue.

I think it is just starting to hit the market is why. I like the idea of a high capacity .22 mag in the back pack.

I was just eyeballing the pistol again, and it now appears to me that the trigger is a pivot trigger, not a slide trigger like on my 1911, and judging from the overall dimensions of the pistol, it looks (based purely on speculation and previous experience, lol) that it may be a long trigger pull. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

oh well, if it's a predictable trigger pull, then I can still drive tacks with it! I think I might be picking one of these up.

im still liking the idea and when I'm in walmart or the other gun shops I like to look and see if .22 mag is on the shelf. yup! never a whole lot or huge choice but it is usually there.

I have assumed from reading that post that you are unfamilar with Keltecs. Based on my experiences with that brand (not this gun) I would vernture to guess that it's going to need a fair bit of polishing up on the trigger. Other than that, the ones I've tried have been decent.

Still would like to see, one, hold one, and shoot it.

I'm fairly familiar with them, having fired several of thier DAO subbies as well as the SU-16 rifle and the pistol caliber carbine, can't think of the name. I liked the SU-16, but couldn't see purchasing one in lieu of an AR, since I live in a free state still, price notwithstanding. I remember with the subcompacts that the trigger pull was long, like most DAO subcompacts, but it wasn't as heavy as other micropistols I've fired. My personal preference for a pistol trigger is a slide trigger, because I've found I can actuate the system more consistently. I find my finger shifts position on lever triggers just a hair, but there's no telling how the trigger handles on this pistol until one has fired it.

Based solely on mechanical knowledge, unless the trigger is engineered to be so far forward in the trigger gaurd though, it looks to me like a wide arc for the trigger itself to swing through. The trigger stop is very pronounced too, which supports that assumption. Being a striker fired pistol (obviously), I'd hedge my bet it's a SAO pistol, even more so seeing the manual safety lever, so it's probably a fairly clean trigger pull with no staging, but quite a lot of take-up, and a bit of creep as well. I agree too, it will probably need a bit of stoning to clean up the rough edges and smooth it out.

I still think this would be a great woods gun. The mag ofers a bit more umph and two mags there is 61 rds ready to go. Not a lot of small game and two legged problems that can't be taken care of with the mag.

no joke, just as long as it doesn't gum up. that's the only problem with .22s, is the case sticking issue. I think with a good dry weapon lube though, it probably wouldn't be an issue.
