I definitely didn't see that thing at Blade Atlanta...

You would know I saw it there, because I would have had to clean my shoes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

A Wharnie would be interesting and it's been on the Scrap Yard drawing board for a very long time:

Like the Muk, the Wharnie isn't my favorite blade shape. But also like the Muk, it's a very useful and usable design. It's also a dream to sharpen. But after the Regulator (assuming that's what's next), I'd prefer to see Dan reissue the SS4 in satin-finished 154CM. IMO, other than a Camp Tramp clone, the SS4 in 154CM is about the biggest no-brainer Dan could bring to The Yard.

That was at Blade 2008, along with 4 other prototype knives. One was a Scrapper 9 that was really nice.

Right you are, bc. There are pictures of the prototypes at Blade Atlanta floating around. I've seen the pics. So I know the Wharnie's been there.

I am not disputing that - I think it was only at Blade 2008, though - at Blade 2009 I hung out at the Busse / SR / SY booths pretty much all day every day and I never saw the wharnie, or any of the other protos. All I saw at the SY booth was some Bird Dogs, Mud Puppys, SoDs, Regulators... maybe one or two more blades that I'm forgetting at the moment, but no proto's. They were all for sale.

This one is out there, but I hope to see something with micarta! The Yard is all about recycling, and I'm sure there are a lot of left over micarta in the dumpster.

I attened blade 2008, they had each of them on display and you could handle them. All of them were really nice and felt good in the hands, none have been produced as of yet. I seen some pics floating around of them on here before.

I think a Scrap Yard version of the Busse War Boar would be cool, "The Canine" maybe???

There are some sweet designs in that post! I like the models with the smaller choils.
