I could have sworn I saw one of these threads over here, but I can't find it, so I decided to start one. What goodies did ya'll score for your outdoorsy times during this holiday season?

As far as gear goes, I scored some various stuff to help with the outdoors - a leatherman wave, some merino wool stuff, and a cool technological gadget which I'm holding off on telling you about until I can get it outdoors and take some pictures. One thing I did score, though, is not exactly outdoor gear related... but as I am a HUGE football fan, I did get a new jersey, and I thought ya'll would appreciate it, for reasons which will soon become apparent....

I suppose this is as good a thread as any for my first post...

I was given an excellent Victorinox Spirit X multitool. I love it. It is head and shoulders above any multitool I have ever owned (Leatherman, SOG, and others).

I was also given a great Marbles machete that will be a project to turn into some thing more usable. The handle is quite rough.

I used some cash to pick up some good deals on my first two Scrap Yard Knives - a Mud Puppy and a Scrapper 5. I am pretty excited to try them out once they arrive.

Welcome to the yard - no hijacking when we're talking quality gear!

I'm not a fan of the ergos on the swisstools, which is a shame because they seem like very well made tools.

I had a leatherman wave years ago when they first came out, and I've gotta say I dig the new one a lot. There are a lot of tweaks to the tools and the ergos that I'm a big fan of. Still dunno if I like it better than my Gerber Legend though - that's a tough tool to beat, even if it IS pretty heavy and bulky.

What else did ya'll score???
