Yup. The yard looked out for its own and I don't doubt it will continue to do so. It is what makes the yard different.

> Jerrwhy, That's the really neat thing with these Busse family knives.. can usually sell 'em for what you paid or more! Like a free test drive. And with the Mutt's price.. can't go wrong!
Well I'm really eyeballing a chris reeve Mountaineer II. It's a nostalgia thing as I had one of those hollow handled cheap knives when I was a kid. However, it lasted quite a few years and a lot of stupid adventures on my part. So maybe I'll sell off my mutt in a couple of months and get the chance to be a kid again.

Yup! Been on the internet since the Lynx browser came into existence and am enjoying this forum more than any other. Messed around on BBS' before that. Ahh the days of 1200 baud chat.
That says something.

Selling one Mutt isn't going to bring in the big buxx there Jerr, especially considering the price of Mr. Reeve's knives. So why wait?

I've got the knife fund funded pretty well. However, a little boost here and there never hurts. I don't expect to make a mint off the Dumpster Mutt, just a few extra bucks. Then again I really haven't made a decision on what I'll do with the dumpster mutt once I get it. But the Mountaineer II is definately on the list.

By the time I got home, they were all gone. I would have gotten one for myself, one for my brother for christmas. he got me a howling rat last year, so I owe him. I do have a sudden need to buy a new blade, to make up for my disappointment in missing out on this one. The muddy mistress at busse is on my possibilities list; I am about to go see what elae is out in the net.

Roo, Email Patti and tell her you missed the party. If there are any cancellations you might get a shot at a knife or two.
Doesn't hurt to give it a try.

I only bought one also. I rarly buy more than one of the same knives, and I almost bought two of these. If the SS4 and a 3to 4 inch scrapper wasn't in the future I would have gotten two. I really love my 9 to 10 inch blades (like the DF), but for just simple hiking in CA a 3 to 5 inch blade turns less heads.
