I had some great scores this year...make that last year! Both busse-kin and other...

The Vex is great- between work/family it hasn't got the use it deserves. The Waki is pretty unique too- more of a toy at the moment...so I think my favs for this year are (in no particular oder):

Battle Rat- wowza...showed me the joys of choppers
S5- just a special all rounder..Thanks Dan!
Bandicoot- I'm loving this little sucker. It paid a little visit to the third world grind shop and came back silly sharp! Not the best woods knife, but it's mean like a rabid rat!

Won't chit chat about other brands, but got a GREAT folder recently too!!!

2009 was goooooooooooood for my steel collection!

Whatcha all think and hope we ll get some sweet steel in 2010!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> or in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/2weeks.gif" alt="" /> hah!

Every Busse family knife I own was purchased in the last year. (Actually more like the last 7 or 8 months).

It's hard to pick the favorite buys out of that list. From the ones I currently still have, I'd have to say the BWBM, NMSFNO, Vex, Regulator, S5LE, Smooth Bolt SJTAC....

Just about all of them are my favorites, actually. It's tough to pick just a handful.

I was pretty excited when they opened up the Regulator test team to the yard for a bit. I sold some other steel so I could get my hands on one.

I'd say that was my favorite buy of the year.

My CZ P-01. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

But if you're talking about bussekin, I have to say Waki. Not as practical as the S5 or Ratchet, but it brought back that feeling I got when I got my very first bussekin, the DMCG. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I started buying Busse family knives in early 2009. Each knife has qualities that make them a favorite of mine for certain tasks.

In 2009 I bought the following knives.

1 - SY Scrap Muk LE
1 - SY Yard Keeper LE
1 - SY Scrapper 5 CG
2 - SY Scrapper 5 LE
2 - SR Ratmandu
1 - SY Desert Dogfather
1 - Busse SAR 4 LE

Looking forward to 2010... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Lets see,

2 S5's
1 S5LE
1 Vex
1 DDF
1 Waki
1 Skinny ASH
1 Gamewarden
1 Bushwhacker Mistress
1 SS4

On another note I bought a 22 conversion kit for my Kimber and had a Gunsmith touch up my old Savage.

I think I like that first S5CG the best.
