The orange and purple are S5SE's - there are five different Scrapper 5 handle combos in the ganzaa.

The orange is pretty hot....

Mag - Here's the first part of Jerry's announcement. There will be among all the other knives one orange and one purple handled Scrapper 5 offered. All the details are laid out in a sticky at Busse on the Bladeforums.

"The 2010 SantaGanzaaaa is comprised of 37 different prizes Totaling over $12,000.00!!!

There are 17 Knives for a total of $6,761.50 PLUS and an additional 20 Shop Credits that total $5,250.00

***IMPORTANT**** You may only choose ONE prize! You can choose a knife or you can choose a Shop Credit. . . either way, you can only choose one! If you choose more than one, your entry will be discarded! There is only one of each prize listed. . . First one in who chooses it, WINS!!!!"

Here's my question...

In the last "ganza" I can't remember if Jerry's "GO" post was first posted as a sticky or if it was posted normally and moved to the sticky position later.

In the rules thread he says it's going to be a sticky, but I wanted to hear from other dogs who have done ganzas in the past.

Will the "real" go post be a sticky first, or will it be part of the regular forum for a bit?

Yeah we had a big discussion about people flipping them for a profit on the bladeforums thread... I was arguing that anyone who wins a FREE knife should be required to hang onto it for at least six months before being allowed to sell it. If I had to sign an agreement to be stuck with the killa zilla, a knife I paid 700 bucks for, then these people shouldn't be selling their winnings for a quick profit.

I got called out and got into a big argument over those statements, and Jerry ended up saying in no uncertain terms that the knives could be sold at will, and anyone who complains about the rules can be banned from this and all future contests.

If it weren't for the "scalpers", the secondary market in Busse knives would all but shrivel up and blow away. And all of our knives would be worth a whole lot less as a result.

what? why would you say that? if people were buying them for themselves, the secondary market would yield higher profit from shorter supply.

On the q&a side of things, here's a basic/ignorant one. If I prep my email 1/2 hour before hand and wait for the go, will the time stamp have the time I sent it or wrote it?

It's not based on the time sent but on the time received.

So definitely pre-type your email. Mine's been typed since yesterday. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
