I had planned to send an e-mail but I forgot all about it. Did anyone else completely forget about this giveaway?

I probably wouldn't have won anyway but I thought it would be fun to try. I actually had a lot of fun thinking about strategies.

I just hope the Dogs got most of the stuff.

I planned my evening around being in place for the SantaGanzaaaa -- I took a nap, started composing my email an hour beforehand, and put family on notice not to call because I wouldn't answer the phone between 9 and 10. I'm still stoked enough that I'll need whiskey, I think I'll go with Rye, to get to sleep.

nope, just got frustrated trying to figure out how the hell to enter. Then BF crashed and i couldn;t do anything. I had no idea when to enter, because i couldn't see when the Go post was put up. (and i'm on a T1 connection - once all the HOG computer geeks started crashing BF, it took me 90 minutes to fricking get 3% of Bladeforums loaded up in 45 minutes). Normally i can upload 30,000 to 50,000 HD photos in less a minute........

might just be me, but this is (ganza) a, IMHO, a bit of a waste of time for those of us with only one computer and in different time zones.

There were times that I was blocked (especially just before 9:00 PM), but I had surprisingly good connectivity with BladeForums.com last night. However, while I'm not sure where the BladeForums hosts physically reside, that the site is a venture owned by the user "Spark" (Kevin Jon Schlossberg - Owner, BladeForums.com and & OneStopKnifeShop.com).

The physical address of OneStopKnifeShop.com is 245 Hubbards Lane / Louisville, KY 40207. That's within 15 miles of my house, so if the BladeForums.com and & OneStopKnifeShop.com host servers are local to his brick-and-mortar business, then they're also close to me too. The Louisville, KY area is a great place to live if you collect Bussekins -- you're only one state away (and at a major shipping hub) when knives are sent out, it's where Eric (of Swamp Rat) lives, and the Busse crew comes to town every Spring and Fall for Knob Creek.

I didn't know Bladeforums crashed. That is kind of funny.

I also didn't know Bladeforums was owned by the same people who owned OneStopKnifeShop.com. That explains a few things.

now i'm ************** pissed off. Seems certain email providers (gmail, hotmail) got thru fine, while others (hushmail) got BLOCKED/BOUNCED, like my inquiry this morning.

I prefer give-aways that are based on people placing a post and then a number generator picking whatever post numbers win...seems a little more fair than the complicted Ganza ideas !!!

I prefer give-aways where you have to complete a task like, oh let's say... building a debris shelter to win a knife.

...

'Cause I win those. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
