I am against blindly following rules. If there is a good reason for it, fine. Explain it to me. That said, I am done with knife forums.
I am actually of the same persuasion. I have realized that i tend to find things funny that offend others, or find things interesting that offend, or sometimes i just accidentally offend someone, and i don't like to feel like i'm "breaking rules" and stepping over lines that people don't want others to cross... so i drop in on forums to learn, to see when knives i'm interested are being released, or if i see an interesting post, i might send a private message - but i have generally decided to keep to myself. I'm not suggesting that at all, i just happen to not like following rules either, especially when they don't make sense to me, and most forums seem to be thick with them. I used to tip-toe around. but now i just stay away from the mine-fields... Works for me. And i still make some good friends - i'm just more careful what i say and to whom, unfortunately.
We need a 5/16" (or thicker) SR-77 BOWIE!!! (Written back in early '07 -- Regulator Premonition?)

ok. i havent seen any post. i will start searching. I've made a couple of evaluations, but in short - it's one of the best Busse family knives I've ever handled, and it is the only crazy thick knife I've seen that actually uses that thickness in an efficient fashion which doesn't compromise performance. The regulator is a grand slam home run.
