I was thinking about it... and I don't think I'd use the Molle attachments. I liked it more aesthetically than anything. I like Dave's stuff very, very much.

Side note - I just got a Smith & Wesson 642 Airweight (hammerless) 38 special today to use as a BU. Its a pretty nice little gun! And I got a great deal on it (my dad gave it to me!!)

Yeah, that is a nice deal! Can't own that up here as the barrel is too short.

I like the Molle option to strap stuff to. ya never know what else you might bring along!

The knife and sheath weigh enough as they are

Dave and I are going to discuss some MOLLE stuff for my Dumpster Mutt sheath. The FBM is gonna get a Molle-less sheath!

I don't see myself strapping a hydration pack to it...

Perhaps my firestarting stuff or a multitool and folder.. Just to save some space on my belt

Cool cool.

I've almost abandoned folders since I got turned on to SYKC, O. RAT, and Ranger...

I've got a flint/magnesium combo w/ some hacksaw blade in a little pouch on my keychain, w/ some cotton ball stuffed in there w/ it (about the size of a 5-stick pack of gum overall).

Yeah, I am almost there as well. Just waiting on some slightly smaller blades for EDC to retire my SOG. Last time I used my DF to clean my finger nails I got a couple of odd looks!

My Ontario RAT3 is a great little knife. I've got the D2 version - it stays sharp and has a pretty nice sheath w/ Tek lock.

I think I'll end up with one of each, scenario dependent of course.

Good thing you got it out! I could just picture a 10 foot log sticking out the window of you explorer as you drive home to retrieve your knife!

That happened to me only once. When I got my Battle Rat stuck in a log I was splitting and tried to use my Camp Tramp to widen the crack and slipped and stabbed my hand to the bone with my BR. I had to carry the log, stuck knife and all with my uninjured hand to the truck and put it in the back. When I was home, Dad grabbed a hatchet and used it as a wedge to get the knife loose.
