What kind of virus protection do you use? I use Zone Alarm Pro for my firewall and virus scanner, and I use Spybot and Ad-Aware to get rid of spyware and malware. I never have any problems. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I will check out Zone Alarm Pro. I use the other spyware components. My "main stream" virus software missed this one

+1 for zone alarm.
Antivirus programs are good,but much of what infects systems
isnt really a virus.
Its like spyware/ad-ware that they trick you into installing.
Those popup windows like "your computer is infected! click here to remove"
etc etc... anyway a firewall like zone alarm will popup a window
asking you "xyz program is trying to install on startup..."
or "do you want XYZ to accept connections on port 1234"
If you werent installing something,then you would know
right away and tell it NO,dont install.
I have not had any spybot/adware takeovers in the past 10 yrs
while using zonealarm.
I have had attemps,but ZA has foiled them each time.
(also,pls use firefox or something besides Internet Explorer)
