I may be traveling to Kentucky this spring. I was wondering if there is a spring time Knob Creek event/show where Bussekin would be in attendence? If so where are the knob creek shows held?...
Any info would be appreciated thanks

knob creek is about 30 minutes south of louisville. If you go on weekend there is a really cool 1/8 mile drag strip about five minutes past knob creek. You should check it out.

Not only does a Busse Combat crew come to town, but the they usually bring a wider selection of knives to Knob Creek than to other shows. Blade seems to be more about new products and "shaking hands with the man", but KC is all about the steel. We frequently get several older models, presumably leavings from short runs (possibly military?), that other shows don't see, or at least didn't until last year when more of that also seemed to get around. I could be wrong, but it seemed like Easton got a similar mix, and that Blade West did pretty well too. Regardless, there's never been a shortage of steel at Knob Creek -- if you can make it, you will not be disappointed.

Does scrap yard go to knob creek?

The Busse Knife Group (Busse Combat, Swamp Rat Knife Works and Scrap Yard Knife Company) goes to the shows together. They're at the same booth.

The selection varies (from what I've seen) but there is usually some from all three companies.

Knob Creek Kentucky is just south of Louisville. It is an amazing machine gun shoot and a great show and well worth the trip.

For those not from the hills persuasion the word Knob refers to the small mini hills shaped like a mountain or knob that pop up across the landscape. As they say "now’s ya no" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Welcome to the Yard

Welcome to the Yard Drobin. If I was able to pull it off, I would love to go to Knob Creek, just not in the cards for me. If you can swing it, I am sure it would be a blast so to speak.

Either me or my Dad (maybe both - don't remember) filmed these. Haven't been back since 1998.
