Hi,
I spent some time at Aventures Nord-Bec, a dog sledding company (Stoneham, Quebec, CANADA). They have around 220 dogs of three breeds: siberian huskies, alaskans and alaskan malamutes.
I often use SS4 for various usage and I really like it. I use it to cut various things, remove frozen food, cut cords and woods, etc.
It's a very well made knive, I can't ask more. Small enough to carry it and solid with a very comfortable handle. I abuse it, for example, removing frozed food from metal dog bowl. I first stomp on it around metal bowl and then I stomp harder on one area and then I pry it out. Obvously, I often hit the metal, but I don't care, SS4 is very solid and won't chip:

My friend has a 30$ knive and it's very chipped, it's more like a saw than a knive. He is very impressed with mine. Me either.
The only drawback of SS4: it's very hard to sharpen it on a stone...
Here's my SS4:

Here's the following pictures of Aventures Nord-Bec, a very nice company. One thing I like from there is that they never hit dogs. If they saw someone of us hitting a dog, they will fire him without question whatever the reason is.

Ferrari with a scar on his nose. Dogs happens to fight between them and when they fight, they do it to kill. We already lost a dog because of it. It's not a 'normal' fighting like other dogs. We have to separate them fast and wisely. It's more like an art than a science to stop the fight. We don't hit them, even during a fight.

Thanks to Dan for making the SS4, it's one of the best knive I ever owned.
