I love them so much that I might look for a couple of each to give to my brother. Color of handles don't matter either!

Would the SS4 allow you to do both large and small game almost as well as the muck for large and the bdle for small or is that wishful thinking? From the looks of it, for me, it seems like the SS4 would be a better single knife choice if your brother hunts all size ranges. It would be more than tough enough for breaking up a pelvis and would still function well in a coping role. I am not a hunter so this is purely speculation on my part but I am hoping it does not detract from the conversation.

Thanks a lot for all the good in put fellas. My brother in law hunts deer for the most part. So I think I'll try to track down a Muk for him. I fear the tip of the Bird Dog may be a bit thin for cleaning and gutting a deer. But I know nothing as I'm not a gun guy....strictly fishing and I use a fillet knife for that. Once again I appreciate the help with this. Maybe I'll buy the Muk soon and the Bird Dog in a year. Just typin what I'm thinkin.

Like Toast says, I wonder if the SS4 would be a better all round knife for the tasks at hand???
I don't hunt, but do fish, and I love my SS4 for that. My step-son uses his Busse AD for his fishing knife.
It works great too.

Just a note though, I also have my ScrapMuk, and I love it as well.

Cheers
