Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.

That's hard to do if new models are released one at a time, remain in the store for six weeks, and take six more weeks after that to deliver. Well I teach history, not math

Hey Bruce, why don't you go ahead and add the actual release dates and see if Dan or one of the Mods will put it up as a sticky and give you permission (if possible) to add to it. Good Historical background (and it would make Sumo happy), history ya know. Or make it part of the rules and regulations and info thread.

Cool info, but where's the SS4 fall in the timeline? Good catch, RN. I added the SS4 and revised the timeline. And Tom is correct. The SS4 was released on 12/20/06. Wowza, the 1st 3 releases were the S6, SS4 and Dog Father...Holy Classic blades batman! You all were spoiled!

Like mentioned, first three releases are classics but in my humble opinion the SOD, S5, MUK, and BDLE are too. Now I need to track a SS4 down as a EDC.
