Last night at work, my car and a few others were broken into. Now my car ain't the best looking. An old beat up dented corolla. nothing in the car worth taking.Radio's old and doesn't work but they went into the truck and took my floor jack and my Camel bak backpack that my nephew gave me. This was my Bug Out Bag! In it was my DF, Mini Uncle Mojo and my SoD that a fellow Yard brother gave me for X-mas!!
Luckily enough, my Howling Rat's beside the bed, my S5 live in my Maxped knockoff bag and my urban mutt stays at my side. My Challenge Coin was in my pocket,thankfully enough.
Cops came and took reports, but all I have is basic liability insurance.Won't cover the loss of my pack or knives!
At least I still have my working knives.
Hope to God they get what they deserve!!!

In todays world I review my vehicle- house- health-life - living trusts etc every year. I just came from an estate planning meeting last night and am schocked at how fast laws are changing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />. A guy needs to stay right on top of that stuff- hang in there <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Sorry to hear about the bad luck direwolf. RN has the right idea tho. The area i live in is getting pretty bad with crime. I keep a Cold Steel 20 dollar kukri and a frost mora blade in my cars BoB. If it does ever get ripped of its no big deal.

car breakins seem to be getting worse and worse here in Georgia. Sucks that you lost some great steel - far too many folks I know have had similar things happen to them around here.

I'm really sorry to hear that direwolf. Were any of the blades LE with a # on it, or did you mark them with a UV pen or something similar? That way you could keep a lookout on ebay, and other places. In fact keep looking there. Pawn shops are a good idea too, once you spot your knives, call the cops to come into the shop, they should be able to lift your prints from the blades and the owner should be able to identify the seller.

Also keep a look out for suspicious people hanging around the parking area and call the police, it may be the same people.

yeah, I told em my prints were on the blades, plus I'm printing out pics of the knives to drop by the police station before I head into work.
I mean, ya look at my car and it's not something that screams" I've got goodies"
I mean, it's got foil tape holding in the front head light, tape on the right front window, it's dirty as all get out.
Just never thought someone would look in the trunk.

The mechanic at work has an engraver I think. Gonna mark my only blades left with it tonight at lunchtime.
