a lot of us are flahlight junkies, we build up old lights, so we have a tone of parts (including mag bodies ) lying around. Hardly a waste , in fact its recycling!

Great idea Bushy. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I have tweaked a few with the Malkoff drop ins- but like you say " we always have way too many parts left over" . And- if it is just a stock mag lite- they aren't worth a hoot anyway <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Thanks

I heard they are pretty bright and batteries last a while too.

4-5 D cells run approx 11 hours at 260 lumens <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Even after batteries are older you are still getting 200 lumens for a few more hours. Kicks [censored] on other lights <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. The only problem is when they are availible from Gene they go FAST !! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I have a 2 D cell maglight and thought about doing the conversion.
The Malkoff is like $60 - $65 for the maglight. Still might end up getting the Malkoff led drop in.
