What is interesting is the secondary market for Bussekin may take a hit. Will be interesting to see what happens. I have not been there to read the post, but when is this supposed to start?
I sure hope that this is not an end for the other two stores.

Im interested to find out how this all turns out, Im disinclined to belive Jerry will seriously harm the two sister companys. It is the Busse knife GROUP after all.

Well- it sounds like they are going to stay with their upper line. In business you can either hit the high side of things or the low. In this economy the folks with less income are the guys that just don't have purchasing power plain and simple. The upper line Big Busse Knives are a toatly differnt breed of cat. They have big $$$ and they will spend it. Even during the depression those that had bucks did quite well. Plus- it is less work for the Busse Boys and a better profit I might add. The shop can only turn out so many blades and you sure cannot blame them for going with what pays the most. Guess we will see what they have to say. I am thinking that the SY knives will actually soar on the secondary. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> Just my thoughts. I could have sworn I read some where that SY used the Busse shop after hours/at night.
I would think Jerry & Dan are in constant comunication & Dan would have known of Jerry's plans before Jerry announced the change.
We'll just have to wait some more to see how it all works out.
