Ah yes, the old club yourself in the head with various objects comparison tests...

"Here Dan you try this one..." And Infi was discovered by Jerry because Dan was out cold...

Whatever you guys are doing, It's working! And I'm fine with the changes but still glad I snagged a TTRB. I'm also glad some fellas are getting to use these in the field. Just keep us posted because I'm in for one or two.

I hoping these do turn out to be one of ScrapYards most popular designs.

To accessorize the fuzzy dice, wire wheels, running/chasing lights, and curb feelers!

Once we catch up with those orders, we will be able to offer more finish options.

finish options?? Like maybe BAMA CLAY?????????

Gimme those green handles in the first run. Anything after that is icing on the cake.

After using the TT version I can certainly see why this blade is popular as a fighter.I would actually love to see an LE version some day of this knife. I think the TT version is bound to be highly sought after and the new Reg is also going to have a huge following.I am wonering what kind of reward the TT buyers are going to be receiving ? I saw you mentioned in an eralier post ? Thanks for the " heads up" Dan- will be looking forward to the release

Thanks for all the info Dan. Very cool to read about your testing and thoughts on the design. Look forward to the release and all the teasers on price are nice too!
Now that I've had a chance to sleep on it, I have a couple of additional questions for the Big Dog.

1. How much heavier is the Production Regulator than the TT Regulator? And how has the additional weight affected the Production Regulator's balance? The reason I ask is because the balance of the TT Regulator is superb . . . right up there with the Scrapper 6 IMO. I'm concerned that the Production Regulator's sabre grind may have made it more blade heavy than its flat-ground predecessor.
[color:"red"]I agree that the TT balance is great. From looking at the knives in the pics I am wondering if the balance on the production Regulator will be great too. With the rounding of the spine, the heavier and thicker Res-C handle guard, and the different choil could this make up for some of the weight and balance for the sabre grind?

2. How much better do the quillions on the Production Regulator's thicker guard hold up to direct and indirect impact when batoning the knife? I ask because you put a lot of emphasis on the improved chopping ability of the Production Regulator. It has to be assumed that any knife used extensively for chopping will also be used for batoning. And when damage occurred to the quillions on the TT Regulator handles, batoning appears to have been the primary cause. [color:"red"] Could the thicker piece of Res-C make it better for resisting impact since there is more surface area to absorb the impact? Not sure, but I still can see where this area will get "chewed" up.

Bld,
I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who was thinking about the Regulator when I fell asleep, and still had it on my mind when I woke up this morning.

Ord, I am hoping for a LE version too. I am wondering about the other thing you mentioned too.
