Like most others who are not snowed in, I received my BWM LE in the post today.
I will leave proper reviews to the experts but from a simple user perspective my initial impressions are that I'm probably not going to see much difference in performance between my DFLE and the BWM LE

Don't get me wrong, the BWM LE looks and feels great and will likely remain with me, but when put alongside the DFLE, and even when paying secondary market prices, the DFLE is still great value.

Price/performance wise, and for everyday use, I'm going with the DFLE.

(apologies for the bad images - had to sneak the shot before the wife spotted the new purchase)

Plus, ya gotta love Res C- cool (secret) pics! ( I feel your pain!...'cept I can't buy any thing on the sly...she comes home early once in a blue moon...always on a delivery day! hah! Thankfully she's mellowed)

Enjoy it!

I like that DFLE. I was a little jealous when you beat me to it on the Exchange.

It was pretty scratched up. It is a user so I didn't mind but if you like your knives pristine, you would not have been happy.

Um have you seen my Regulator? Users are great as long as they haven't been abused.

Out of all the blades out there, the DFLE is one that I really want to get at some point.

Inside each knife is a new adventure waiting to be had...maybe some blood and probably some suture.

It seems to me that, for a lot of the knives that Jerry has put out, Dan has topped them in performance and value.
Go Yard!!

Good looking blades. I still want a DFLE too. To me, comparing a DFLE to a BWMLE is not quite fair. I think comparing a DF to a BWMLE and a DFLE to a CG BWM is more in line since the grinds are alike. I just got in a CG BWM and it became my favorite large blade.

Agree it isn't a completely fair comparison but that is all I have at the moment.

I'm sure Horndog is going to pop up soon with a proper review.
