I think I'm only gonna get one, then see what the production options are

I am interested in comparing the saber ground side by side with the TT version, but I've been burned once by being locked-in to a knife and having emergency bills that needed paying, so I will probably pay the regular military overrun pricing if I get one.

The pricing on these is just phenomenal, and even if I have some qualms about the design, it's too good to let those qualms stop you from getting one.

10 bucks more isn't to bad to be able to sell whenever you want to

I suppose. Unless you consider that it's 40 something bucks more if you include the sheath. That's the killer for me. I can't turn down a piece of work like that WITH A SHEATH for under 100 bucks.

I have kydex for my TT, and leather that would fit the release version, but I agree the sheath is a heck of a deal if you don't have one already. I bend my own kydex for most of my knives, so sheaths rarely even factor into my decisions anymore.

Even though I make my own leather sheaths I think I will buy a couple of the Yard ones as well! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

See if you have the materials/ability to make your own sheaths (which I do not have either) then I don't see why not just pay an extra coupla bucks.

But for newbies to the "great knife world" like myself, the sheath deal is a MUST. And trust me I will probably get two, and I won't sell either but I may very well keep one as a safe queen and one as a user.

May even give someone one for christmas this year (wouldn't you like that to be you? lol).

I have been wanting to learn how to make my own kydex. I know a guy who does it and his sheaths are top notch. He made me one for my Falkniven F-1 and it is really great. The Factory F1 sheath is garbage.

Hey there. I think you just broke rules #6 & #9. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

I love the looks of the new Regulator though. I can't wait to get my hands on one! or two...or more maybe.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Well, if I had the time and cash to learn to make my own kydex I would love to try. But when a sheath can be had like the ones from the Yard, hopefully it will be like the nylon SY, then it is a no-brainer for me. Looking forward to this one, just like most everyone else here.
