just got my duel shipments of some cheap gear. i got emergency shears, pocket sharpener, and fire steel. i got a pair of cheap multitools and their knockoff 2 day pack.

the pack is pretty good feels heavy duty enough, all the straps fit across me, and i'm fairly board and thick. and has some good size pockets. downside of the pack, has no molle attachemets, so adding things like water bottles is a problem, and while it has a pocket for a water bladder, you have to keep the main pocket open for the feed tube from the bladder. still i would recommend it for the day or weekend packer. makes a cheap BOB, for those who don't want to invest big money in such a thing.

here are some pics.

wouldn't want to track through the amazon in it, but day hiking or a cheap bob, can't see going wrong with it.

I remember when those shears became popular they said they would cut a penny in half. They do.Handy to have. The gear may be cheap but it'll do in a pinch & better than nothing.Good score. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Hehe... in a pinch, I put a penny on a 2x4 and batonned the penny in half with my DMCG. The rather thick edge was just fine afterward.

Back on track, though, I need to get a BOB together, so I may look into one like the one posted here. Thanks for the info!

I think I'm going to have to get a couple too. They have some good clearance deals.
